In collaboration with Ilona, we have opted for Brio Gold. This milk contains 60% skimmed milk powder and our Limousin calves perform very well on it.

It’s a tasty milk that has the advantage of being perfectly soluble in water and not going hard once the bag has been opened. After 2 days of colostrum, the calves easily switch to the milk powder; after a couple of days, we feed 3 litres and 1 kg of milk powder twice a day.

This gives optimum growth at the start, which is of course very important for the development of breeding cattle. We also recommend the Brio muesli. It’s a great supplement to the feed of young cattle.
